Self-pay therapy
Self-pay means that sessions are paid for directly out of pocket rather than billed through insurance. This structure gives you more control over how you access care and eliminates administrative steps that can delay the start of therapy.
In this model:
Sessions are scheduled directly with the practice.
Payment is handled at the time of service.
There are no insurance-driven session limits or authorization requirements.
Care is based on clinical need and therapeutic goals, not coverage restrictions
Some clients may also receive a superbill upon request, which can be submitted to insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement depending on their plan. This is not guaranteed and varies by provider.
Self-pay care is often chosen by individuals seeking greater consistency, transparency, and flexibility in how their therapy is structured.
